SBI Life and J&K Bank have joined hands to provide comprehensive life insurance solutions to families across India

SBI Life and J&K Bank have joined forces with the aim of bringing comprehensive life insurance solutions to families across India. Under this strategic corporate agency agreement, SBI Life Insurance’s range of protection, savings, retirement, and child-focused plans will be offered through J&K Bank’s network of over 1,000 branches.

The primary objective of this alliance is to strengthen financial security and expand the reach of insurance services in regions including Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

According to the press release, the corporate agency agreement was signed by Buddhaditya Banerjee, Regional Manager (Chandigarh Region) for Corporate Alliances at SBI Life Insurance, and Masood Ahmed Lankar, Deputy General Manager (Cross-Selling) at J&K Bank.

The event took place in the presence of Santosh Chacko, Head of Business Strategy at SBI Life Insurance, and Anita Nehru, General Manager (DAC & Cross-Selling) at J&K Bank.

Commenting on this partnership, Amit Jhingran, Managing Director and CEO of SBI Life Insurance, said, 'Our partnership with J&K Bank reflects a shared commitment to deepening insurance awareness and strengthening the culture of financial protection for households across the nation.'

He further noted, 'Life insurance plays a critical role in ensuring financial continuity and safeguarding family aspirations. This collaboration will further reinforce its importance in everyday financial planning.'

Speaking about this partnership, Amitava Chatterjee, Managing Director and CEO of J&K Bank, said, 'The addition of SBI Life to our portfolio of insurance partners enhances our ability to offer customers a wider range of competitive, need-based life insurance solutions, enabling them to choose products best suited to their unique financial needs. The report noted that this initiative aligns with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India's (IRDAI) goal of achieving 'Insurance for All by 2047' by promoting financial literacy and increasing insurance penetration in historically underserved markets.
