Tata Power Co's renewables arm commissions 190.5 MW FDRE project in Rajasthan

The 190.5 MW project has been developed under SJVN FDRE Tranche-1. The project will supply energy to Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC), Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) and Noida Power Company (NPCL) discoms.

The project has successfully adopted several new technologies such as BESS, harmonic filter bank and static var generator systems.

With this project, Tata Power Renewable Energy's total renewable utility capacity has reached 12.4 GW. Of this, around 6.9 GW is operational, including 5.6 GW of solar and 1.3 GW of wind capacity, while close to 5.5 GW is under various stages of implementation, are expected to be commissioned in phases over the next 24 months.

'The project marks another significant milestone in India's clean energy journey by integrating large-scale solar generation with advanced energy storage and grid support technologies to deliver reliable, dispatchable renewable power,' Tata Power Company said in a statement.

The Tata Power Company, a vertically integrated power company and part of the Tata Group, India’s largest multinational business conglomerate, has built a diversified portfolio across the entire power value chain, with its total operational and under-construction capacity surpassing 26 GW.

The company's consolidated net profit rose 10.95% to Rs 1,175.93 crore on a 5.63% increase in revenue to Rs 19,051.26 crore in Q1 FY27 as compared with Q1 FY26.

The scrip shed 0.41% to currently trade at Rs 373.30 on the BSE.
