CESC board approves allotment of NCDs worth Rs 300 crore

The date of allotment for the said NCDs is 29 September 2023 and their final redemption date is 29 September 2028. The coupon rate for the NCDs is the 3 Months T-Bill Rate plus 1.63% per annum.

In case of default of payment of any amount payable by the company under a transaction document on its due date, an additional interest of 2% (two per cent) per annum, over and above the coupon rate, shall be payable.

CESC is a fully-integrated electrical utility company. The company's other business segments include power, organized retailing, property development and business process outsourcing.

The company's net profit rose 21.33% to Rs 347 crore on a 5.07% increase in revenue to Rs 4310 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.

The scrip fell 1.54% to currently trade at Rs 89.98 on the BSE.
