Knowledge Marine secures Rs 279.33 crore, 15-year charter contract from Mumbai Port Authority

Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited (KMEW) (BSE: 543273 | NSE: KMEW) announced it has secured a work order from Mumbai Port Authority for the chartering of a 60-ton, battery-operated electric Green Tug, along with associated manning, operations, maintenance, and technical management, for a period of 15 years. The contract is valued at Rs 279.33 crore, including GST, marking KMEW's third Green Tug contract awarded by a major Indian port and further strengthening its position in the emerging Green Tug segment. The company intends to construct the vessel alongside its other Green Tugs at its shipbuilding platform, aiming to develop standardization and technical expertise in next-generation marine assets.
