Mahanagar Gas Ltd slips for fifth straight session

Mahanagar Gas Ltd dropped for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 1041, down 0.79% on the day as on 13:19 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is down around 2.4% on the day, quoting at 23863.35. The Sensex is at 77131.01, down 2.27%.Mahanagar Gas Ltd has lost around 11.32% in last one month.Meanwhile, Nifty Energy index of which Mahanagar Gas Ltd is a constituent, has eased around 3.42% in last one month and is currently quoting at 36319.6, down 2.49% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 3.69 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 2.92 lakh shares in last one month.

The PE of the stock is 10.72 based on TTM earnings ending December 25.
