Mauria Udyog’s appeal against SEBI’s order stayed recovery of Rs 18.68 crore and Rs 1 crore penalty
16-Oct-26 17:28Hrs IST

Mauria Udyog Limited announced that the Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) has issued an order regarding the company’s appeal against a June 30, 2026, order from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Following an earlier SEBI order directing a 5-year debarment, disgorgement of Rs 18,68,40,551, and a penalty of Rs 1 Crore, Mauria Udyog appealed to the SAT. The SAT rejected the request to stay the debarment but has stayed the recovery of the penalty and disgorgement, contingent upon the company depositing 50% of both amounts with SEBI within four weeks from October 8, 2026. The company cited alleged lapses related to the manipulation of its equity shares under the SEBI Act, 1992, and SEBI regulations.
