NIFTY moves down, Nifty Realty stocks in focus

The key equity barometers traded with slight losses in morning trades. Nifty moved in a range of 24678-24562. Nifty Realty, Nifty Auto and BSE 250 SmallCap shares rose, while Nifty Healthcare Index and Nifty Private Bank shares fell. At 10:45 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, posted modest gains of 331.26 points or 0.42% to 78,760.21. The Nifty 50 index posted modest losses of 33.40 points or 0.14% to 24,581.50. The broader market lagged behind the frontline indices. The BSE 150 MidCap Index added 0.56% and the BSE 250 SmallCap Index gained 0.87%. The market breadth was healthy. On the BSE, 2898 shares advanced and 1566 shares retreated. A total of 266 shares were unchanged. Nifty Realty index climbed 2.32% to 912. The index has edged lower 1.74% in last one month and inched down 2.29% over last one year. Prestige Estates, moving higher 5.08%, led the gainers followed by Godrej Propert., up 4.64% and DLF, adding 2.60%, respectively. Out of 10 index constituents, 9 are reporting gains today. Nifty Auto index rose 1.16% to 29377. The index has climbed 6.17% in last one month and jumped 22.09% over last one year. Bosch, gaining 4.89%, led the gainers followed by Exide Inds., inching higher 3.61% and Hero Motocorp, edging up 2.44%, respectively. All 15 constituents are advancing today. Nifty Healthcare Index index edged lower by 0.65%. The index has risen slightly by 1.61% in last one month and spiked 15.08% over last one year. Fortis Health., losing 1.12%, led the loosers followed by Sun Pharma.Inds., easing 0.86% and Torrent Pharma., down 0.71%, respectively. Out of 20 index constituents, 12 are reporting loss today. Sectoral performance is mixed, with 7 of 14 indices trading in the green. Nifty Realty index has fallen 1.74% in last one month and is marginally lower by 2.29% over last year. Nifty Healthcare Index index is higher by 1.61% in last one month and is sharply higher by 15.08% over last one year. From NIFTY50 index, Ola Electric, Vodafone Idea AND GAIL (India) are leading in terms of volumes today, clocking turnover of 3162.17 lakh shares, 579.58 lakh shares and 7074.56 lakh shares respectively. Asian markets soared on Wednesday. China’s Shanghai composite is firmly higher by 1.39%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng is modestly higher by 0.06%. Japan’s Nikkei 225 is significantly higher by 3.47%. NIFTY50 Aug-26 futures are in discount of 116.60 points today.
