Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index records a surge of 2.60%

Nifty IT index ended up 2.60% at 30441.45 today. The index has added 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Coforge Ltd jumped 5.16%, LTIMindtree Ltd gained 4.79% and Persistent Systems Ltd rose 3.54%. The Nifty IT index has decreased 16.00% over last one year compared to the 2.65% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index increased 1.07% and Nifty Pharma index has slid 0.92% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 0.15% to close at 22713.1 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.25% to close at 73319.55 today.
