Subex MD, CEO Padmanabhan resigns

Vinod Kumar Padmanabhan, who has been the managing director and CEO for 25 years, has requested early retirement from his position. He will continue to serve in the role until the end of business hours on 1 May 2023, after which he will continue to serve as a non-executive director till 14 July 2023.

Nisha Dutt, who has been an independent director of the company since 2015, has been appointed as the new chief executive officer, effective 2 May 2023. She has been appointed as the CEO for a period of one year. This decision was made based on the recommendation of the nomination & remuneration committee and approval of the board.

Dutt, who brings extensive experience in consulting, advisory, and investment banking, has also been a technology entrepreneur. She holds a MS in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Master's in Business Administration from Ohio University.

On a consolidated basis, Subex reported net loss of Rs 4.68 crore in Q3 December 2022 as against net profit of Rs 2.08 crore in Q3 December 2021. Net sales declined 16.05% to Rs 73.66 crore in Q3 December 2022 over Q3 December 2021.

Shares of Subex fell 2.37% to Rs 31.68 on Monday, 17 April 2023.
