US stocks end mixed

US equities presented a divergent performance during yesterday's trading session, as a paucity of significant economic data curtailed market activity. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by 185.14 points, equating to a 0.36 percent decrease, to settle at 51,863.69. The Standard and Poor's 500 shed 0.06 points, reaching 7,764.64. The Nasdaq Composite Index registered an increase of 122.18 points, representing a 0.45 percent gain, to 27,244.28, establishing a record apex. Crude oil prices remained under downward pressure following statements from US President Donald Trump indicating a potential agreement with Iran following the election.
